## About the contest
We’re excited to announce a new contest for all smart contract developers on TON titled TVM Challenge. This competition aims to explore and showcase the new features and opcode use cases introduced in the upcoming TVM update. As a smart contract developer, this contest allows you to delve into the latest advancements in TVM and discover new possibilities for creating innovative products on TON.

## How to apply

## Prize Pool
We have allocated a total **prize pool of 30,000 Toncoin** (TON) for this contest. The prize money will be distributed among the participants who showcase the best utilization of the new TVM features. A panel of esteemed jury members will do the evaluations.

## Evaluation Criteria
The jury will evaluate each project submitted to the contest. The jury will use a combination of different criteria to score each project on a scale from 0 to 3. 

**The criteria include the following:**
- **Relevance:** The jury will assess how much the project addresses a genuine need for new TVM instructions in smart contracts.
- **Efficiency:** The jury will evaluate the optimization of the project and the use of gas, exploring ways to improve and optimize implementation.
- **The uniqueness of the idea:** The jury will consider the originality and novelty of the project, taking into account the possibility of applications that the committee may not have been aware of previously.
- **Technical difficulty:** The jury will assess the level of technical complexity involved in the project’s implementation.

**For each criterion, the jury will assign a score ranging from 0 to 3 based on the following scale:**

- 0 points: The solution does not satisfy the given criteria.
- 1 point: The solution barely satisfies the given criteria.
- 2 points: The solution fits the given criteria but requires improvements.
- 3 points: The solution fully meets the given criteria.

It is important to note that the score for technical difficulty carries a weight of 1.5, giving it additional significance in the evaluation process. The maximum score a project can achieve is calculated as 3 (assuming that each project is assessed by 3 judges) multiplied by the sum of the scores for the other criteria plus 1.5 times the score for technical difficulty, resulting in a maximum score of 40.5.

# **About the contest** 

We are thrilled to announce the inaugural TON Tact Challenge, an initiative crafted to inspire both seasoned developers and newcomers to delve into the capabilities of this emerging programming language.

This contest, brought to you by TON, is geared towards expanding the reach of the Tact language. Tact is a groundbreaking programming language purpose-built for the TON blockchain to simplify and enhance development. Featuring a static type system and a clean syntax, Tact becomes the optimal choice for crafting intelligent contracts on the TON platform.

## **Scoring and Prizes**

Each task can bring you a max of 6 points.
You get 5 points for solving a task. You get an extra point if you solve it without using any gas.

### **Prizes:**
- The top 15% of participants share $10,000 in TON
- The middle 30% of participants share $10,000 in TON
- The bottom 55% of participants share $10,000 in TON

Each prize pool is shared equally among the participants in that group. In total, we're giving away $30,000 in TON prizes.

## About the Contest
The TON Smart Challenge #4 continues our tradition of offering tasks that showcase the fundamental aspects of how smart contracts function in TON. Participants will have the opportunity to master complex cell manipulations, smart contract storage organization, comment handling, basic cryptography, and the logic of governance smart contracts through problem-solving.

## Registration, Submission, and Duration
Registrations are now open. The tasks will go live on August 8, and the submission deadline is August 18 at 23:59:59 (UTC+4).

The bot will assist you throughout the registration process and send you notifications with the latest updates, such as the contest start or the tasks. The bot will also guide you on submitting your entry as a legitimate participant.

## Scoring System & Prize Distribution
Winners of the contest will receive prizes denominated in Toncoin, the native cryptocurrency of the TON blockchain, which is also used as a resource for contract execution.

The scoring system is simple. **For each solved problem, the participant can earn a maximum of 6 points:** 

- Successful solution of the problem = 5 points
- If the solution is solved with no gas spent = 1 extra point

1. 10,000 TON - The top 15% of participants
2. 10,000 TON - The middle 30% of participants
3. 10,000 TON - The bottom 55% of participants 

The pool of 10,000 TON will be split equally between all participants in the corresponding cohorts. In total, we will award 30,000 TON. Please note that the total prize may vary depending on the number of participants.

## The goal of the contest
In this contest, we continue the tradition and offer tasks that demonstrate the basic aspects of how [smart contracts work in TON](http://ton.org/dev?filterBy=developSmartContract). By solving problems, participants will be able to master the skills of complex manipulations with cells, organizing the storage of smart contracts, working with comments, basic cryptography and the logic of governance smart contracts.

At the same time, the competition is arranged in such a way that even FunC veterans will not have a special advantage and beginners will be able to compete with them.

We are holding a contest aimed at optimization of 5 smart contracts written in the [FunC language](https://ton.org/docs) native for The Open Network blockchain. The goal of the contest is to optimize contract execution cost, preserving functionality and business logic.

## The goal of the contest
We are holding a one-day contest aimed at finding vulnerabilities in smart contracts written in [FunC](https://docs.ton.org/develop/func/overview), the programming language native to The Open Network blockchain.

Here is the TON Hack Challenge checklist to prepare for the contest:

## About the task
There are 8 smart contracts, each of which contains a major flaw that allows intentional bypassing of intended logic and stealing of all funds. As soon as the participant figure out the issue they are encouraged to hack the smart contract and get all the Toncoin.

The first 5 contracts are revealed at the same time to hack, each of them will cost 3,000 TON. After all smart contracts of the first stage will be hacked, there will be a 15-minute break. 

The last 3 contracts will cost 5,000 TON each and reveal one by one: once a contract is hacked, we give a 15-minute break and reveal the address and info of the next smart contract.

The contest will stop at 18:00 UTC: new smart contracts will not be revealed after that time and the contest will be continued next weekend. We will provide the details at [@toncontests](https://t.me/toncontests) after the challenge is finished.

For almost all contracts, their funC code will be available upon reveal. Some, however, will be closed-sourced. You will need to disassemble them via [TonScan](https://tonscan.org/), [Ton Whales](https://tonwhales.com/), [DTON.io](https://dton.io/), [Ton.cx](https://ton.cx/).

Note, that registration through [@toncontests_bot](https://t.me/toncontests_bot) might help you not only stay notified and save time when the revealed contract is already hacked by some other participant, but also get information about the opening of the next contract and second stage of the contest.

The prize will be awarded to the participants, who successfully hack smart contracts, and paid in TON.  As soon as the participant figure out the issue they are encouraged to hack the smart contract and transfer all Toncoin from the contract balance (the bounty) to their wallets.

As our aim in holding the contest is to educate everyone and provide the atmosphere of learning how to write secure contracts, we request the winners to share with the community their way of thinking during the smart contract hacking. For each won task, where participants explain their way of thought step by step, they will receive 150 TON bonus. TON Hack Challenge

## Goal of the contest
Blockchain contracts development is an art because code optimisation can literally save money for the contract owners. 

Contract execution literally costs money and this is a brilliant opportunity for the developers to exercise algorithms knowledge and software development skills to the fullest extent.

We are holding a contest aimed at optimisation of 5 smart contracts written in the [FunC language](https://docs.ton.org/develop/func/overview) native for The Open Network blockchain. Goal of the contest is to optimize contract execution cost preserving functionality and business logic.

## Contest format
There will be 5 simple concepts to implement. Concepts are chosen to be easy to understand even to people with no prior experience in programming. 

Each task is scored from 0 to 10 points depending on number of passed tests. Each get method execution is limited by 100 000 000 (hundred millions) of gas units. The participant will be able to send solutions and receive the result after short evaluation delay any number of times, but not more than 5 times per hour. The best submitted solution (with highest total score over all 5 tasks) will be used to determine final rank. The organizers of the competition reserve the right to publish participants solutions with usernames (decided by participants themselves) after the contest. Gas-usage will not affect the ranking. Signatures of all functions described in the task conditions should not be changed.

### Task 1: Counter
Let's start.
This simple counter smart contract stores a total - 64-bit unsigned integer in its data (it is guaranteed that storage data contains total).

When receiving an internal incoming message, contract takes a 32-bit unsigned integer from message body, adds it to the total and saves the result in contract data.

Get-method get_total should returns actual total value stored in contract data.

If the body of the incoming message is less than 32 bits then it should throw ANY error.

### Task 2: Proxy
The aim of proxy contract is to forward all messages to it's owner.

In particular for each message A (except messages from owner itself) such contract
should send the message B to owner with body which contains address of A's sender followed by A's message body in reference (child cell).

The Toncoin value attached to the message should be equal A's value minus fees related to processing (computational and message forwarding fees).
The owner address is stored in contract storage (it is guaranteed that storage contains owner address only).

### Task 3: Address memorizer
The aim of address memorizer contract is to remember the address set by Manager and report it to anyone who request this information.

## Task 4: Build a hashmap storage
Contract must add a new key/value entry to its data on receiving the message with the request.

### Task 5: Shared wallet
The aim of two owner wallet is to create smart-contract which send messages then and only then both owners (represented by public keys) authorized it.

## Prizes & honours
Winners of the contest will get prizes nominated in Toncoin — cryptocurrency native to TON blockchain which is also used as a resource for contract execution. Total prize fund of the contest is 22,022 TON.

- 1st place — 4,000 TON
- 2nd place — 2,000 TON
- 3rd place — 1,500 TON
- 4-6 place — 1,000 TON
- 7-10 place — 500 TON
- Other members — 5,777 TON. 

Remaining 5,777 TON will be split among other participants, who solved at least one task. However if there will be less than 30 total participants, all the other N participants will get 100 TON each, and remaining 5,777 - N*100 TON will be split among top-10.

Update 14 April 2022: participants from 11th to 127th places will get prizes in accordance to formula INT(SCORE * 3 + 300*EXP(-(RANK-11/14.309)). There are also bonuses beyond basic prize pool, which [are described in the official contest chat](https://t.me/toncontests_chat/3945).
